"Enter the void" is the forthcoming 2nd album by Germanys dark Electro banger "Echodead". It comes with 13 fresh and excessive new tracks, which blend between Dark Electro, Industrial, and Oldschool EBM, following it's predecessor "Random Headnoise Parallax".
The tracks are full of rage and energy, full of shouts and growls. Sometimes evil, sometimes mean. Sometimes clubby, sometimes catchy.
Inspired by various styles of electronic music, horror films and the darker side of life in general, it was written and conceived as a one man project by Hamburg based producer Carsten Roggenbuck.
Starting with the epic and brute "Rivers of blood", the album takes you on a fascinating journey through the different facets of harder and darker electronic music history from the very first second. From Aggrotech to catchy EBM tracks, from sequencer-driven Industrial to uptempo old school EBM-Punk to very atmospheric, playful and film music-like tracks like Interzone or Enter the void.
In addition to the aggressive and driving moments, there is also a lot of atmosphere and great sound design on „Enter the void“. This is particularly supported by the lovingly selected and numerous film samples used. The versatility of this production is not only reflected in the music production, the sophisticated arrangements and the soundselection, but also in the imaginative and versatile use of the vocals.
From highly aggressive and distorted shouts to unprocessed and straight growls to massive vocoder use, we are shown here that the ingenuity doesn't have to stop with the music.
Echodead bows respectfully to the industrial, dark electro and EBM innovators of the last decades on this album without clumsily copying or stealing from them. Influences such as Frontline Assembly, Die Krupps, And One, Combichrist, Skinny Puppy or KMFDM just to name a few, cannot be ignored, but are taken up in an intelligent way and processed in Ech?dead's own style. So if you're ready for this one-hour trip, get in and enjoy the ride.
